Summer Opportunites for High School Students

Summer is a time to have fun.  Thanks to the US College Counseling Office Summer USA Program, for some Anatolians it is also a time to be wonderfully productive (enhancing your college profile) while having fun.

Over 95 of Anatolia high school students will be attending summer high school programs on U.S. universities, doing research or taking classes in subjects ranging from engineering to forensics and from neuroscience to creative writing.

For students who will be spending their summer here in the city, we find a wonderful range of opportunities - from hospital internships, special volunteer opportunities, and university-level courses at ACT.

A robotics course at ACT last summer was critical in getting two of our students major financial awards at top U.S. universities for next fall due to their accomplishments in this exciting new field and leadership they exhibited in the class – all shared in their applications through excellent recommendation letters from their professor.  They learned 2 new programming languages, how to build electronics, and how to design robots – mechanics, electronics, informatics all working in harmony. It is a terrific way to get a taste of college level work, beef up your CV, and still have long weekends in Halkidiki.

Deadline for applying through the USCCO for Summer USA Program: May 22nd

Contact Ms. Kotsi at 2310-398340 for details.
