** Μεταξύ 25-26/10 θα ζητηθεί από το πρακτορείο μια ημερήσια μεταφορά σε Leiden, Noordwijk, Hague και Scheveningen με πούλμαν και θα πληρωθεί έξτρα από τους μαθητές.

Αφού υπολογισθεί το τελικό κόστος του ταξιδιού, η προσφορά πρέπει να δοθεί ως τελικό ποσό ανά μαθητή.  Να έχετε υπόψη σας ότι θα χρειαστεί να εκδοθούν ατομικές αποδείξεις με το τελικό ποσό για κάθε μαθητή. A Dukakis Center event at Reworks Agora 2018 

The Dukakis Center at ACT- American College of Thessaloniki will launch its 20th anniversary season of public service initiatives by co-sponsoring with the Thessaloniki US Consulate the keynote session of Reworks Agora on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 5 PM in the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. The featured speaker is Dr. Victoria Alsina of Harvard University and GovLab, who will discuss "Blockchain: Grassroots initiatives for democracy." The session will be moderated by Aphrodite Bouikidis, consultant for urban innovation and international partnerships with the Resilience Office of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. A limited number of free tickets are available in NB Office 1.

Victoria Alsina is a Democracy Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at the Harvard Kennedy School and a Research Professor in the Technology, Culture, and Society Department at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, where she directs the Crowdlaw Initiative at the Governance Lab (GovLab). As an international consultant, she has advised numerous governments, private institutions and non-profit organizations, including the OECD, the European Union and the Inter-American Development Bank, on issues related to public sector reform, collaborative governance and democratic innovation.

At Reworks Agora 2018, Victoria Alsina will speak to us about how new technology offers the opportunity for public institutions to learn from our collective wisdom, reviewing good practices from around the world: from e-consultation platforms and open innovation initiatives to cryptocurrencies. Redesigning our governing practices to solve the complex policy challenges of the 21st century (and to repair the social contract!) urgently demands creating a two-way conversation between government and the governed. Let’s talk about it!

Reworks Agora is a one-day, cross-thematic forum that features keynote speakers, discussions, musical performances and screenings by leading experts and pioneers in the creative economy, culture, technology and contemporary thinking.

A resounding success for Anatolia High School again at this year's Panhellenic Exams, with a high percentage of students being accepted into university schools of high demand.

Among 138 students who participated in the Panhellenic exams:

• 127 will join ΑΕΙ schools (92%/) and 11 will join ΤΕΙ (8%)
• 111 were accepted by schools of high demand

Με τη συμμετοχή 400 μαθητών από Γ΄ Δημοτικού έως και Β΄ Λυκείου πραγματοποιήθηκαν τον Ιούλιο στην Αθήνα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη τα Θερινά Προγράμματα του Κέντρου για Χαρισματικά – Ταλαντούχα Παιδιά / Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Greece του Κολλεγίου Ανατόλια. Οι μαθητές επιλέχτηκαν μέσω εξετάσεων ανάδειξης ταλέντου που διεξήχθησαν την περασμένη χρονιά σε 18 πόλεις της Ελλάδας και στην Κύπρο.

Το Κέντρο ξεκίνησε τη λειτουργία του το 2013 με την ιδρυτική δωρεά του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος.  Τελεί υπό την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Παιδείας και Θρησκευμάτων της Ελλάδας και του Υπουργείου Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού της Κύπρου, και έχει λάβει πιστοποίηση από τον ευρωπαϊκό επιστημονικό οργανισμό European Council for High Ability (ECHA). Σύμβουλος του CTY Greece είναι το διεθνούς φήμης Πανεπιστήμιο Johns Hopkins.

Από τις 25 Ιουνίου έως και τις 13 Ιουλίου 2018 οι μαθητές παρακολούθησαν στη Θεσσαλονίκη (Κολλέγιο Ανατόλια) και στην Αθήνα (OTE Academy), εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα διάρκειας τριών εβδομάδων, σε 23 διαφορετικά μαθήματα Θετικών και Θεωρητικών Επιστημών, ειδικά σχεδιασμένα για τις ιδιαίτερες ακαδημαϊκές δυνατότητές τους. Οι μέθοδοι διδασκαλίας παραμένουν καινοτόμες και πρωτοποριακές ανταποκρινόμενες στις ανάγκες απόκτησης γνώσης των μαθητών που χαρακτηρίζονται από ταχύτητα και βάθος σκέψης, και μεγάλη αγάπη για τη μάθηση.

Συγκεκριμένα:

• Στη Θεσσαλονίκη λειτούργησε φέτος το μεγαλύτερο πρόγραμμα του Κέντρου (με διαμονή) για μαθητές Α΄ γυμνασίου μέχρι και Β΄ λυκείου, στο οποίο συμμετείχαν 192 μαθητές. Τα πανεπιστημιακού επιπέδου μαθήματα που προσφέρθηκαν ήταν: Κρυπτολογία, Εισαγωγή στις Βιοϊατρικές Επιστήμες, Πιθανότητες και Θεωρία Παιγνίων, Αρχές Σχεδίασης για Μηχανικούς, CSI@CTY, H Τέχνη και η Επιστήμη του Κινηματογράφου και Εισαγωγή στην Επιστήμη των Ηλεκτρονικών Υπολογιστών καθώς και Φιλοσοφία, Ποίηση & Πεζογραφία, Ψυχολογία, Γενετική και Διεθνείς Σχέσεις.
• Στη Θεσσαλονίκη 66 μαθητές Δημοτικού παρακολούθησαν το ημερήσιο πρόγραμμα (χωρίς διαμονή) που περιελάμβανε τα εξής μαθήματα: Θέλεις να γίνεις Επιστήμονας, Ρομποτική, Μαθηματικά, Επιστήμη & Μηχανική, και Το Εργαστήρι του Συγγραφέα και Ηνωμένα Έθνη & Γεωγραφία.
• Στην Αθήνα πραγματοποιήθηκε για 3^η συνεχόμενη χρονιά το ημερήσιο Θερινό Πρόγραμμα για 92 παιδιά Δημοτικού με αντίστοιχα μαθήματα, ενώ για πρώτη χρονιά το πρόγραμμα προσφέρθηκε σε 48 μαθητές Γυμνασίου που είχαν επιλέξει ένα από τα μαθήματα: Μαθηματικά Μοντέλα, Ο Κόσμος των Οικονομικών και της Επιχειρηματικότητας και Αρχές Σχεδίασης για Μηχανικούς.

Όσον αφορά στους μαθητές που επιλέχθηκαν για τα θερινά προγράμματα του CTY Greece

• Περισσότεροι από το 50% των μαθητών έλαβαν ολική ή μερική υποτροφία με βάση το οικογενειακό τους εισόδημα
• Το 50% των μαθητών προερχόταν προερχόταν από δημόσια σχολεία
• Το 50% των μαθητών προερχόταν από την Αθήνα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη
• Το 50% των μαθητών προερχόταν από διαφορετικές πόλεις της Ελλάδας & την Κύπρο

Επιμορφωτικά Εργαστήρια για Εκπαιδευτικούς και Στελέχη Εκπαίδευσης σε Καινοτόμες Διδακτικές Πρακτικές με την υποστήριξη του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος 

Από τον Μάρτιο του 2018, περισσότεροι από 300 καθηγητές και δάσκαλοι από 70 διαφορετικά σχολεία της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου έχουν λάβει μέρος στα δωρεάν επιμορφωτικά εργαστήρια, που προσφέρει το CTY Greece με την υποστήριξη του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος.

Οι επιμορφωτικές βιωματικές δραστηριότητες πραγματοποιήθηκαν στην Αθήνα, τη Θεσσαλονίκη, την Πάτρα, την Καλαμάτα και τη Λευκωσία, και εντάσσονται στην αποστολή του Κέντρου για τη διάχυση των καινοτόμων πρακτικών διδασκαλίας του προς την ευρύτερη εκπαιδευτική κοινότητα, και στην επιμόρφωση όσο το δυνατόν μεγαλύτερου αριθμού εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβάθμιας και δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης στον εντοπισμό των μαθητών με ιδιαίτερες ακαδημαϊκές ικανότητες. Η υποστήριξη τέτοιων μαθητών μέσα σε μία τυπική τάξη βελτιώνει το μαθησιακό επίπεδο ολόκληρης της τάξης.

Τα εργαστήρια επιμόρφωσης, συνολικής διάρκειας 3,5 ωρών, δομήθηκαν σε τρεις θεματικές ενότητες:

1. «Στρατηγικές διδασκαλίας για την ενεργοποίηση των μαθητών
2. «Τεχνικές άτυπης ανατροφοδότησης για τη μάθηση»
3. «Χαρακτηριστικά Μαθητών με Υψηλές Ακαδημαϊκές Δυνατότητες»

Με την έναρξη της επόμενης σχολικής χρονιάς θα προγραμματιστεί η συνέχεια των επιμορφωτικών σεμιναρίων στην Ελλάδα (Κρήτη, Κομοτηνή, Ξάνθη, Ρόδο, Θεσσαλονίκη, Ναύπλιο, Κόρινθο) και την Κύπρο.

Ιδρυτικός δωρητής του Κέντρου για Χαρισματικά – Ταλαντούχα Παιδιά είναι το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος. Μεγάλοι δωρητές είναι ο Όμιλος Eurobank και η εταιρία Lidl Hellas. Following an invitation from ACT, Anatolia College’s sports premises became the training ground, for four days, for the newly-founded Men's National Lacrosse Team of Greece in view of the most prominent international competition, the World Lacrosse Championship (Israel, July, 15- 21). This is the debut participation of the National Team, which consists of Greek-American athletes from the US and one from Thessaloniki, in an international competition.

Lacrosse is a team sport, relatively unknown to Greece, but highly popular around the world and especially in the State and Canada. It is a field sport where two teams, with nine players and a goalkeeper each, are trying to score using sticks with small nets attached to the top. With these sticks, the players are trying to through a small at the opposite team’s net.

Lacrosse originates from a similar game that the Native American played in order to solve their disputes. Today, lacrosse is one of the most popular and impressive sports, both for men and women. It is also a joyful and pleasant activity for people of any age.

The Greece National Lacrosse Team was founded in the USA from Apostolos Katsiaounis, a 20 year old Greek American college student and athlete. Katsiaounis started looking at the social media networks for players of Greek origin across the US, in order to form a Greek lacrosse team that would participate at the World Lacrosse Championship, and motivate the next generation of Greeks to start playing lacrosse. Among the 23 players of the team is Anthony Katagas, an Oscar awarded Greek American producer, who is the goalie of the team. Anthony Katagas is highly renowned in Hollywood for his participation, along with Brad Pitt, in the film production “12 Years a Slave” for which he received an Oscar award in 2014.

Among the athletes that constitute the National Team, is Ilias Zaharopoulos, an Anatolia College student. 

ACT leads the efforts of introducing lacrosse to the student and sports community of Greece. It has organized games and free seminars for coaches, athletes, and friends of the sport, in collaboration with the Federation of International Lacrosse/ FIL. In May 2018, ACT organized the 1^st Lacrosse School Cup with the participation of Anatolia College High School and public schools (2^nd Lyceum of Polihni, 1^st Lyceum of Pilea).
