Meet the Team
Eleni Alexiou
Eleni Alexiou is one of the four university advisors in this department who also serves as Standardized Testing Advisor. She worked for 15 years as an EFL teacher at Mandoulides Schools, where she also proctored SAT exams, advised students for THIMUN, contributed as a judge at the Panhellenic Forensics Association, and worked on translations. She joined Anatolia College in 2021. Eleni got her Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and her Master’s degree in Education and Technologies in Distance Teaching and Learning Systems- Educational Sciences from the Hellenic Open University.
Addie Brinkler
Addie Brinkler is this year’s University Advising Fellow at Anatolia College. She joined the Advising team in August 2025 through Anatolia’s Post-graduate Fellowship Program, where she supports students throughout the college application process and helps organize events such as the International Universities Expo. Prior to her role at Anatolia, Addie worked in the Admissions office at her college of Hobart and William Smith, coordinating campus tours and visits, hiring and training new tour guides, and helping to deliver a positive experience to future students. Originally from Maine, USA, Addie holds a BA in Education with studies in Media and Writing. She is passionate about education, empowerment, and helping students achieve meaningful opportunities around the globe.
Christina Daniskas
Christina Daniskas is a Greek-American from New Jersey with a B.A. in Human Resource Management and minors in Psychology and Modern Greek Studies from Rutgers University, as well as an M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT). She joined Anatolia College in 2017 as a Fellow supporting study abroad students and has been an active part of the community ever since. With experience in the ACT Registrar and International Programs Offices, she now serves as a University Advisor and Fellowship Coordinator at Anatolia High School, helping students pursue global university opportunities She has guided students, led programs, and played a key role in introducing lacrosse to Greece, where she served as Captain and Goalie of the Greek National Women’s Lacrosse Team.
Zenia Koutsogeorgiou
Zenia Koutsogeorgiou brings over a decade of cross-departmental experience at Anatolia College, combining a people-oriented approach developed through student-facing and administrative roles such as Wellbeing Coordination Officer with the operational acumen gained as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Finance & HR. Holding a BA in English & Communication and an MSc in Organizational Psychology from American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), she now supports students in building clarity and motivation early in their academic journey as an Early Engagement University Advisor. She is committed to helping students feel seen and supported as they navigate the high school years and beyond.
Maria Platidou
With a longstanding commitment to student growth and opportunity, Maria Platidou has been a part of the Anatolia College community since 2003. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a Minor in Communications from Berea College in the USA, as well as a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from American College of Thessaloniki (ACT). As part of the University Advising Department, she coordinates key initiatives, including the International Universities Expo and the Summer Programs Abroad, among other things. She is deeply passionate about changing students' lives and guiding them through transformative experiences.
Georgia Proestopoulos
Georgia Proestopoulos is the Director of University Advising at Anatolia College. She first joined Anatolia in 2007, working in the US College Counseling Office until 2011. After six years at the American Farm School as a university advisor, teacher, and faculty development coordinator, she returned to Anatolia in 2017. Georgia holds a BA in English and Secondary Education from Grinnell College and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She is passionate about helping students discover their purpose and plan their futures with clarity and intention.
