Early Years Program Teacher's Aide - Pinewood

Overview of the Position

Pinewood - The American International School seeks a qualified, caring and motivated preschool teacher’s aide to join our Early Years Program in a full time capacity beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year. The ideal candidate will be able to participate collaboratively and professionally with the lead teacher in creating an optimal learning environment that allows our students to develop to their fullest potential in a nurturing atmosphere. The hours are 08:15 - 16:15 daily. 

Key Competencies:

• Degree in early childhood education
• Native or near-native English speaker
• Experience working with young children 
• Caring, creative, energetic and positive attitude
• Familiarity with child development 

Required Responsibilities/Skills

• Work in a collaborative manner with the lead teacher
• Encourage students' positive self-image and support individuality and independence
• Respond appropriately to students' learning, physical and emotional needs
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
• Provide indoor and outdoor supervision of children
• Assist children with personal care and food preparation
• Manage classroom behavior
• Initiate and model positive interactions with children
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to continually learn, improve skills and adopt new ideas
• Implement after school activities
