"Voting in America 2020": A Dukakis Center Webinar

With Charles Stewart, Kenan Sahin Distinguished Professor of Political Science, MIT
Hosted by David Wisner, Executive Director, Dukakis Center at ACT

Wednesday, October 21, 6-7 PM via Zoom

The 2020 US Presidential election will be like no other in recent memory. Two candidates, Donald Trump and Joe Biden are waging unconventional campaigns in the midst of a deadly pandemic, the effects of which have been compounded by economic volatility and a frying international system.

Meanwhile, voters across America and abroad face the uncertain prospect of voting by mail or in person as partisan enthusiasm reaches a fever pitch, not knowing whether their ballot will be counted or when the winner of the election will be announced. Will the post and the electoral system stand up to the strain? Will the outcome of the election be accepted by the electorate?

To answer these and other questions, the Dukakis Center will host a webinar on October 21 with Charles Stewart, Professor of Political Science at MIT, and the leading expert worldwide on election administration in the United States. Professor Stewart will be joined by David Wisner, Executive Director of the Dukakis Center and ACT’s resident expert in American politics.
