New Book Release from Former President Richard Jackson
Former Anatolia College President, Richard Jackson, recently published a new book entitled The Incidental Oriental Secretary and Other Tales of Foreign Service. The "anti-memoir", as his preface describes, recounts Jackson^27s illustrious career as an American Foreign Service Officer for three decades, as well as his eleven year tenure as President of Anatolia. Jackson^27s tone is humorous and captivating as he describes tales from his posts in Somalia, Libya, Washington, Greece, the United Nations, and Morocco. Providing both historical context and his own analysis of political and economic events, the book is just as much about Jackson^27s own stories as it is about the larger transformation of foreign diplomacy and the fates of the countries in which he served. The Incidental Oriental Secretary and Other Tales of Foreign Service was published by Hamilton Books and will be an honored addition to the College^27s collection at Bissell Library.
