Trip to Trieste
This September, eight members of the Stories Club, along with teachers Ms. Antoniadou and Mr. Tsapatsari, traveled to Trieste, Italy, to participate in International Friendship Week.
Around the globe, International Friendship Week is observed in order to emphasize the growing importance of creating empathetic relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds. The Instituto Tecnico Statale “Gracia Deledda-Max Fabiani” hosted this International Friendship Week program, which brought students from ten countries together. Each student cohort – from Germany, India, Czech Republic, Denmark, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Greece, and Italy – presented on the cultural and educational practices of their home country. Anatolia students amazed the other cohorts with their traditional Greek dancing, wearing their impressive traditional costumes. All students were hosted by families of the Institute’s students, with whom they toured Trieste and its historic sites and took a day trip to Venice. Overall, the Anatolia students loved this opportunity to meet students from around the world and further their cultural understanding of one another through the bonds of friendship
