10th Annual 3K Charity Run

10th Annual 3K Charity Run

Despite a wet and rainy start, Anatolia’s 10th Annual 3K Charity Run was a big success! This year, 478 students, staff, and faculty participated in the run to help raise money for MERIMNA, a non-profit organization that supports children and families who are facing life-threatening diseases and loss.

First, over 50 elementary school students raced through the course, their spirits high despite the heavy rain. As the high school race began, the sun finally broke through the clouds! In the gymnasium, Stavros Lazaridis and Argyro Kotziagkiaouridou came in first place for boys and girls respectively. In the lykeion, the first place winners were Kostas Parissis and Anna Tassou. Mr. Manitakis won the staff and faculty category.

Overall, the A’ gymnasium had the most participants with 134 sign-ups. 1C/A showed incredible dedication with 22 out of 25 students participating in the race! Overall, the school raised 3,200 euros for MERMINA. Thank you to all participants for braving the rain and raising money for a great cause!
