Anatolia Students Represent Tajikistan at The Hague Model United Nations

From January 27 th -February 2 nd , 15 Anatolia students and their advisors, Ms. Hondropoulos and Mr. Kyriakides, travelled to The Hague in The Netherlands to attend the 51 st session of The Hague International Model United Nations Conference (THIMUN). More than 3000 high school students from over 120 countries participated in this year’s conference.

During daily committee work, Anatolia delegates proposed solutions to some of the most difficult problems facing the world today. They debated topics ranging from the threat of cyber interference on democracy to improving food security and the risks from the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, while representing the opinions of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Apart from attending the conference, students spent their evenings preparing for their daily conference work, taking leisurely walks through The Hague, enjoying the local cuisine and visiting various museums. On Wednesday, January 29th, the students were taken on a walking tour of the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Some of the highlights of the day were a visit to the Van Gogh Museum, and an evening canal tour.
