The French Club Visits Strasbourg
After improving their language skills in the French Club, 26 students, along with their teachers, Ms. Papoutsi and Ms. Stamati, travelled to Strasbourg in order to get a taste of the French culture and hone their language skills through their interaction with native speakers. The group visited the École Nationale d'administration (ENA), a French grande école that trains senior French officials, the Strasbourg Cathedral, and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, which houses extensive art collections.
They strolled around La Petite France, Strasbourg’s scenic historic quarter with its picturesque alleys, tasted the local cuisine, and took a boat ride. They also visited Colmar, a small city near Strasbourg. However, the culmination of the trip was their visit to the European Parliament, where they watched a video about the European Union and felt like politicians when asked to sit at the stalls of the main room and were briefed about the plenary sessions. Overall, the trip was a great learning opportunity for all.
