Anatolia CanSat Teams Launch Successfully!

CanSat is a European Space Agency competition that familiarizes students with technologies similar to those used by a satellite. Teams of 4-6 members must envision a space mission and design and construct a satellite, integrated within the volume and shape of a soft drink can. The satellite will then be launched from an altitude of 1,000m, measure air temperature and air pressure to report to the ground station, land with the help of a parachute, and execute a secondary mission chosen by the team.

Two teams of Anatolia students, Aurora and P.R.O.J.E.C.T. Outreach, which have been working hard since last spring on their satellites under the guidance of Mr. Bandis and Ms. Koliakou, have been selected with 8 other teams to participate in the national competition CanSat in Greece 2020: Launching your Dreams, which will take place in Athens in April 2020. The winner of the national competition will then represent Greece in the European competition CanSats in Europe. We wish both teams and their advisors the best of luck.
