Three Silver Medals for Anatolia at the Aegean Tournament

The Aegean Tournament began on a sunny, warm November Thanksgiving day, with a total of 730 students from 13 schools.

The schedule was filled for 4 consecutive days with 56 teams competing in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. Despite the sudden shift in temperature on Saturday, all the athletes continued to try their hardest. Anatolia had 6 teams compete in different sports throughout the tournament, with the Boys’ Basketball, the Girls’ Volleyball, and Track and Field teams all ranking second.

After five years and three winning games on Saturday, our Boys’ Basketball team pleasantly surprised everyone by reaching the finals, while our Girls’ Volleyball team made everyone proud during a tiebreak thriller. Stella Antypa and Konstantinos Mouratidis were voted Most Valuable Players of the tournament in Girls’ Volleyball and Boys’ Basketball respectively.
