Junior Drama Club performs online!
After their 2020 performances were canceled because of the pandemic, 15 members of the Junior Drama cast, together with their directors Elena Parissi and Konstantinos Katsos, decided to take the plunge and… go virtual!
The vignette style play by Lindsay Price, with a title that speaks volumes - Scenes from a Quarantine - attempts to depict all those feelings, concerns, and emotional ups and downs that everyone has been experiencing due to the CoVid pandemic.
How does a teenager cope with the fact that their whole life has changed overnight? How do Romeo and Juliet react when they realize that they missed their wedding for a day? How do a cat and a dog feel now that their owners have to spend so much time at home? Does WAR feel threatened now that the world’s attention has shifted to something else that has equally destructive powers? And what does CoVid (for his friends ‘Co’) himself have to say about all these? After weekly virtual meetings, the cast has been working hard to make the impossible possible in preparation for their Webinar performances on June 5th and 6th.
We wish them the best of luck!
